The Last Manhunt (2022) 1909 Willie Boy, a long-distance desert runner in Chemehuavy tradition. Fall in love with Carlota Beloved native beauty, Carlota’s father, Chemehuevi shaman and local chieftain. Refusing to keep the young couple together in a serious confrontation Carlotta’s father died in an accidental gunfire. And the young couple fled to the enslaved sunsets of the Mojav Desert. A local sheriff leads a troop of armed cavalry with firepower, and two Native American trackers seeking justice for their “killed” chieftain, Willie Boy and Carlota, evade capture of their men and horses. He, however, fake news intended to sell documents puts even more pressure on Willie Boy’s arrest in the Total Clean Desert. Finding Willie Boy forces everyone to face their own demons in this tragic tale of love, death and the heat of the desert.
